Truth in the Mist

She's breaking my heart, yet she doesn't hear the shatter
I cry, for I long but pretend nothing is the matter
I can't be myself, thus she doesn't see the man
Who would live and or die for her, if ever were a stand
I wish life was more simple to where I could say the words
The feeling and the song, which I share with the birds
Her look makes me want to open up my heart so I can sing
But the able feeling of rejection I know will truly sting
Is revealing my inner-self really worth the here and now
Or will my hidden truth destroy our lying friendship vow?
Yet the words, they are now slipping, as if sent from up above
It is you, yes you, who are and forever will be my one and only love
