I've fallen
Can I get up
Even to my knees?
Before I crumble
This time even farther
My feet are under the surface
Not visible, good
Falling deeper isn't an option
But being pushed is
My torso forced into the suffocating ground
What can I make of myself now?
Give it up
I allow myself to sink completely
How could I have been so pitiful?
So brittle?
So useless?
Weeping, swallowing myself whole
Why did this happen?
Was it my fault?
I'm sorry, I love you
Stamping myself with the sign of faith
Repenting, good bye
I squint from the light
Slowly air grazes my face
My feet exposed
I see everything bigger than myself
Tears weren't my weakness after all
