Trying figure this one out

I dropped out of life, not sure if just for the night, my one
moment of escape, oh what sort of mystery shadow am I, now fallen blindly
out of sight, having left the remains of my now fractured heart at the beach,
with Rosie left staring quietly, as if loss for words, and I am okay with her
prevailing silence, as I retreat further like some madman on the run, taking
me along for the ride, whatever baggage my fragile mind can withstand.
