Trying to Forget Her

I am trying to forget her, but I just cannot.
My heart feels like it's all in a knot.
I love her black hair and her beautiful smile.
I need to stop thinking about her, if only just for awhile.
It's easier said than done though.
I'll miss her laugh and her smile, especially her style.
I know trying to forget that will take more than just awhile.
Her sexy soft body is a sight to see and even her personality.
If only she can stop reminding me in my dreams,
It would help me forget her a bit more easily.
I wonder if she really ever was in love with me.
I can stand up tall and say it's whatever.
The fact is that I hate to see her go.
A lot more than she will ever know.
I'll miss those four years of fun.
All the days and all the nights.
If only things had been different.
If only it had been possible.
That she could have been my wife.
