Tsunami

The heartbeat of the earth
shook the foundations of the sea,
and heaven could not shrug it off.
A hundred thousand sorrows
swallowed in one gulp,
and ten thousand miles away
we could not turn away
from weeping.

Now, the heartbeat of our engines
shakes the foundation of the sky,
and heaven cannot shrug it off.
A hundred thousand shorelines
will be swallowed in one gulp,
and a hundred miles away
we'll have nowhere
left to run.
