Tug of War

Shush you, you beautiful girl,
The one who takes my heart for a whirl,
I dream so suddenly of the days to come,
The days of adventure and lots of fun,
You play this game of tug of war,
I find it bothersome and it's made me sore,
You say you do, you say you don't,
Make up your mind or just say you won't,
These games were fun when we were young,
But now we're old, aching and cold.
To long we've played this game of war,
Our life is over and I'm out the door.
