Turning Tides

These waves carry me, abiding by the tides
My final destination there's no where to hide
The past storms have come and gone
By the oceans sweet song

As I sail calmly, I fear what's to come
Hearing in the distance the storms dreadful drum
The cruel storm stalks me yet again
with my past I must make amend

The ocean is unforgiving she sings her taunting song
Will I survive this storm or will my final breath be
furlong?

I crave the sweet nectar of peace
the sweet fruit of serenity upon my lips I beg to meet

It's time to stand up and perform my act
As the wind is against my back
Carry me safely across these tides
for I fear there is no where to hide

My soul is as fierce as the storm
Strong built with fire, yet a bit weather worn

Yet, I still stand willing to fight
I will not let my fears win
Not this time, not tonight
