Twenty Four Hours

Another day transpires
Need some special powers
To get me through the waking hours
Up at the crack of dawn
Need to stretch and yawn
Turn off the alarm
Go back to bed
Rest my head
Need more time
Clear my mind
I'm not weak
Need more sleep
For at least twenty four hours
Want to cover my head
Go back to bed
Resume my nightly slumber
Oblivious to the world outside
See you twenty four hours
Feeling energized
Feeling alive
Ready to leap tall buildings
Racing with the clock
Need to stay on top
All I needed was twenty four hours
