Twilight

In the twilight
The long and fair curtains
Blow against the wooden chair
The wind is cool upon my face
The whisper of forgotten love
Lingers in the wistful air
Dreams at night are still
The moon, the mysterious moon
Glistens with light outside my window
A white glow that touches my skin
I lay upon my peaceful bed
And stay awake without fear or dread
Midnight wanders through the sky
As the breeze dances with ease
They dance together 'til moon falls asleep in the trees
Then early sun rises on
His brilliant head shining
Upon me as I raise myself from bed
And though the night has run away
It will come back to dance when the sun sets
And leaves the sky alone to rest
