Twilight's Child

Twilight's child, wrapped up in wings
Shadow's lover, to whom darkness sings
Silent and secretive, born of the night
No breath of wind to signal her flight

Moonlight's daughter, a ghost on the breeze
Death from above, she glides through the trees
Hollow and chill, a cry in the wild
As darkness surrounds her, bright twilight's child
