Twisted Thoughts

Random bursts of confusion,
These twisted thoughts turn into illusions.
Can't tell anymore what's real and what's not,
Their emotions lack sincerity, I think they forgot.

Forgotten me, that's the way it seems,
Always wanting to please them, I fail, it's only in my dreams.
Can I control these twisted thoughts?
My heart is heavy, steady under key and lock.

Funny the way life works right?
Oh the endless battles, I always lose the fight.
Stuck in my own mind it's ticking away,
Slowly but surely here comes a new day.

My fears and nightmares tend to haunt me,
I'm stronger than this, I'll make them see.
Only God can judge me now,
Time to kick these twisted thoughts, someday I'll learn how.
