Two Kids in Love
1996, 10 years old
You, were my superhero!
Holding hands, our first kiss,
together forever, was our promise!
A connection, A completion
of inner peace and joy,
Something my soul screamed for,
A fairytale story.
A childhood, I never forgot,
You were my bestfriend,
I fell so hard in love with you,
My heart to truly mend.
With a piece of paper,
and a pen,
Blessed be our paths,
May they, one day, cross again.
My breath became shallow,
my heart skipped a beat,
Flooded memories with you,
Took me by defeat.
Butterflies fluttered, and
A smile so bright,
Giddy like a school girl,
Love at first sight.
My soul needed protected, but
my walls came tumbling down,
You saw me past my flaws,
You pulled me off of the ground.
You gave me your heart,
And I gave you mine,
Until our last breaths,
Until the end of time.
You, were my superhero!
Holding hands, our first kiss,
together forever, was our promise!
A connection, A completion
of inner peace and joy,
Something my soul screamed for,
A fairytale story.
A childhood, I never forgot,
You were my bestfriend,
I fell so hard in love with you,
My heart to truly mend.
With a piece of paper,
and a pen,
Blessed be our paths,
May they, one day, cross again.
My breath became shallow,
my heart skipped a beat,
Flooded memories with you,
Took me by defeat.
Butterflies fluttered, and
A smile so bright,
Giddy like a school girl,
Love at first sight.
My soul needed protected, but
my walls came tumbling down,
You saw me past my flaws,
You pulled me off of the ground.
You gave me your heart,
And I gave you mine,
Until our last breaths,
Until the end of time.
