Two-lane Road

I walk along this lonesome two-lane road.
The trees are lined up, waiting to say hello.

I greet them like they are loyal, trusted
Friends, because they'll always be there for
Me when I reach the end.

This ol' road's taken me to places
I thought I'd never see. But I know the way
Home, and that road knows me.

I've grown up alone on this two-lane road; with no
One to love and no one to hold.Years have gone by now
And still no one came, but you were there for me and
I feel less ashamed.

Nothing's ever made my senses reel, as the pleasure
Of running through an open field...
The road takes me there...

It always knows when I succeed, and that gives me
The need, to be all alone. On this
Two-lane road headed home.
