Ubiquitous Genius

Emotion overflowing
Knowledge always growing
Recall everlasting
Intelligence beyond reason and understanding
He lives in his own universe
It only briefly, reluctantly touches reality
Like a pendulum, his mother's joy frequently swings to heartache

The word that best describes him has become ubiquitous
A word too often used
A word too often misused
A word too often misunderstood

She wants to share the brilliance of his young mind
For others, it's not what they want to hear, believe
The very utterance conjures resentment

She will keep it to herself
Bear the intensity
Bear the social awkwardness
Bear the judgement

She loves him and his beautiful soul
She created a genius
One day the world will know it
