Ugly Pretty Girl

That one girl,
Whose steps sound like gunshots
On the bad-ass fault (but we call it asphalt!) of society,
Never misses a beat
In the rhythm of unsteady gait.

That one girl,
She is the girl
Who steps in front of you,
Ahead of the crowd,
Ahead of the world,
and never looks back.

That one girl,
With just one glance
Burrows fierry arrows and uncanny steel bullets
In the strangest part of your soul

That one girl
Has eyes that flash ice.
Smiling, I think, she'll laugh with you
But never look you in the eye,

And it's in these ways
You know
That one girl, she hates this world
