Unconditional Love

Unconditional love is something we all strive for but unfortunately

not all of us find it. We all find conditional love, which is "I'll

love you as long as you do as I say." It doesn't mean the person

saying these things doesn't love you. Their love is just not un-

conditional it has limitations. Our first experience with un-

conditional love is with our parents, that is where we learn the art

of loving we emulate what our parents do. Our parents love us no

matter what we do. They even love us through the goofy years. We are

so busy now that children do not get to see many loving relation-

ships, most couples see each other at night at bedtime. I remember

when I was younger I always dated men who were more like a father to

me because I didn't know my biological father until I was 18. I

never realized until recently that I was looking for that fatherly

figure because I didn't know him. One day I was talking with my

biological father and he told me daughter I am the only man who is

going to love you unconditionally no matter what you do. After that

I no longer needed to be completed by a man. I got my associates

degree and ended a very bad relationship. I had two beautiful

children who needed me and truly loved me unconditionally.

Children are a gift from god and they help us through some of the

toughest things. We know they need us so we keep going, even when

we think we can't make it. I believe god gives us this gift in

children so we can know his unconditional love he has for all of us.
