Under Construction

Just a drink,
or two,
or three.
The other night was fun,
but it wasn't me.
And I am surely to get cussed out ...
for letting a demon in me show itself.
But I can't tell you how many girls I kissed ...
without a drop of awkward or nervousness ...
And I can't tell you how many asses I grabbed ...
but I was good, I called a cab.
The DJ was certainly killing it right,
but all the other men looked stupid,
wearing those floral lights.
And not one person took me home,
I made it back just fine.
There's just something about
the strobes and the sounds,
that draw me in
and keep me around.
There's a thrill in bumping body to body.
Stanger, to stranger ...
Getting more ugly.
These moves, there are no labels ...
Just little inventions when I'm unstable.
Just a drink,
or two,
or three.
The other night was fun,
but it wasn't me.
