Unfamiliar Land

Gone for months,
Now your back,
Physically your here,
But your mind is not,
You're always alert,
Always on watch,
Guns are loaded,
And doors are locked,
You wake up screaming, out of fright,
Constantly peering threw the blinds at night,
Same face,
Different touch,
Where is the man I miss so much
Is he left over seas in that unfamiliar land,
Where the ground is covered in nothing but sand,
I've known you for years,
This isn't you,
What has Deployment done to you.
