Unique Beauty

My mind does not care
Of what is to transpire
For the beating of the snare
Helps me not to retire
From the battle of what is fair

A universal idea of looks
Such a curse upon a masses
Many people often get hooked
To the lie as sweet as molasses

I care not of how I dress
I care not if I appear a mess
I will not continue to repress
I will just simply profess
That I am indeed not like the rest

To swim against the wave
Is a daunting quest
One must seek and crave
The lifelong test

To love yourself
And not to have doubt
To be kind to others
For that is what life is about.
