“Unlock these chains”

By

Unlock these chains these chains that bind me, Oh! Lord
Unlock these chains that bind me.

Unlock these chains from my hands and feet;
so that I may better serve thee.

Take away these bars, the darkness the silence
that I go thru every night.

I long for wings so I can fly away and be free
from all that harms me.

Can you hear my cries? Can you see my tears? I long to
escape the horror of pain.

I paid my dues and asked for pardon, but freedom
doesn’t come easy.

You have the key to release me and free me from
this hell I’m in.
