Unrequited

The solace has come to an end,
Your heart I cannot mend.
My world has violently collapsed,
I’m dead inside, feel so trapped.
Precious illusions held me tight,
How will I make it through the night?
Without your touch, without your kiss,
Things weren’t supposed to end like this.
Your love for me just dissipated,
I’m alone in this fantasy I created.
Unrequited love is now my vice,
Your love and affection I no longer entice.
This is not how our lives were to be,
Now I’m alone without you beside me.
Turmoil and confusion are all I know,
This pain and anger just will not go.
Your promises in the end were nothing but lies,
Now I’m left with nothing, I’m the one who cries.
On a street of broken dreams leading nowhere,
I look to your for comfort, but your never there.
Love and hope were once my friend,
Now I just want it all to end.
