Unrequited

I hope you slept in beds of silk,

As that is what I owe you.

One body split forever,

Forced to live,

Two.

Clench this bleeding heart,

Disintegration for my soul.

He tears the flesh,

And bends the mind.

Was this hidden inside me,

Or created out of wounds?

Is my mind fleeting,

Or my heart just consumed?

Question every thought,

Hide behind every word.

Was I the one that wrought this double edged sword?

Can another poison the mind,

Or has the seed long been planted?

Hide my heart,

Leave this life,

better off abandoned.
