Unrequited Love

I kept asking why you left
not to myself though
but to the bottle
now emptied
on the ground
which is where you left me
distinguished taste in my mouth
of copper
now emptied
I was the main character of my story
now the grieving widow of another
with all my hearts contents
now emptied
had I loved you more
it would have been called an addiction
I think I overdoesed
you made me feel
