Unspoken Words

Ghostly, lost, unspoken words
Always thought of, but never heard.
A tragic fate when they meet their end
By never being fully said.

Sentences for one to exert
Are stopped in fear of causing hurt.
And syllables that risk it all
Are whisked away to crumble and fall.

Letters that could set a stage
Are locked away in an iron cage
Never to be shown again
To the world they were to live in.

Ghostly, lost, unspoken words
Ones that no one ever learns.
Gone away in a dark abyss
Where they alone can reminisce.
