Until I See You

Jesus, I'm sorry when You knocked, it took awhile to answer the door.
There is no excuse I am going to give You,
For You are too good for that;
so for that, I will say no more.
Jesus, I'm sorry my faith hasn't been has strong as it should be.
When You were waiting for me to come to you,
Where was I? Probably some place I should not be.
Jesus, I'm so sorry; I have been too lazy to
fall on my knees at night just to say a little goodnight prayer.
Where was I that time when I should have been on my knees?
For it would only take but a few minutes, but I know I was not there.
Will You forgive me, huh?
Jesus, I'm sorry. I can go humming around all the day long;
but, for the life of me, when it is time to worship You,
I cannot remember one gospel song. Please forgive me, okay?
Jesus, I am truly sorry that I think I am too tired
to lift my hands high in praise to worship You;
but just the moment dinner is done,
I am not too tired to go outside
and play with my family all evening through.
Jesus, if you will forgive me
from all this wrong I have done to you,
I promise I will try to love You, to worship You, and to praise You
with all my heart until in Heaven I see You.
