Until we meet again
Like a breeze you brushed against me, like fingers run through sand
I knew that you were with me so I turned to take your hand.
I swear that I could see your face the one I used to kiss, the one which fills my waking mind,
the one I so much miss.
I pray your mind is clear now and you are free from pain, i pray that some day somewhere,
I shall hear you call my name.
In life we loved each other well, the tears I shed speak true, grief is my companion now
when all I want is you.
We will meet again my love, I shall see your face, I will feel you hold me in an heavenly embrace.
Come to me my darling when my life is almost through,
guide me to the afterlife and eternity with you.

This Poems Story
I wrote this for my late partner who passed away shortly before his birthday. He was an amateur poet himself so a poem seemed fitting. In fact, writing poetry has been very comforting in the months since his passing.
