Until You Smell Sorrow

Woke up from what I realized was a dream.
The one where we use to be a team.
What method should I have used?
Since everything was considered "abused."
My words turned into claws.
Did my heart have flaws?
I was entitled to receive your care.
Now I know, that it just wasn't fair.
Silent scream inside my head.
Truths became lies for all that's been said.
Carried away from becoming your hero.
Only to be left with incinerated mistletoe.
Now lingering with the smell of sorrow,
My only way to apologize is for a better tomorrow.
