Untitled

Once more, like clockwork, I stand here again
A soft, orange sunset frizzles in the distance
Seems I find myself alone and thinking of you often
My heart is again broken, but deters me not from the next chance

Once more, I have gone to the well of my soul and come up empty
Another drop of sadness has doused the sunshine of the heart
I must continue on, finding ways to keep my mind busy
I must search for the bridge that extends over this gaping hole

In my mind's eye, your last fleeting wave gives me hope
Hope that someday you will consider building that bridge
Until then, through the black of loneliness will I grope
Knowing full well I will soon reach the edge

The tears I cry are of great pain
As I fall down again, and feel the newly-falling rain
Pound on my face, like a heavy drum beat
I can no longer direct the path of my own feet

I needed you to help me.
