Untitled

With innocence she gazed into my soul
The tears swelling in terror
"How can I live with out you? How can I be whole?"
"I cannot answer any questions, I just have too go"

My reply was cold, and this I know
"Stay just a minute? Please!?" "No"
I rode away while she sat and wept
What was I to do too help?

I could be with her no more
I had even known it before...
I sweep these thoughts off to the side
And pedal harder, a swift ride

I still don't know why it is I left
Perhaps I thought it for the best?
Commitment was my enemy
Not Love, nor she

But I'm young and wild!
I must be free!
And she was a child
Even at sixteen
