Untitled

late September
an ominous month
Life giving green
leaves begin to fade
bursting into a vibrant array
reds, oranges and yellows showcase-
Autumn's invasion
Summer's slow death
soon everything will be swallowed into
winter's never ending whiteness
the stench of inevitability
chokes the cool autumn air.
