Untouched Souls

I searched the ends of the earth for a word to describe what I am feeling.
For someone to come along and tell me who I was, what I was meant to be.
People would always ask me who are you,
I would simply tell them, I don't know.
I wanted my life looked through like a kaleidoscope,
piercing through souls to touch the hearts of someone.
To matter to someone.
I kept my pieces tucked inside,
watched the planets rotate
and grass growing underneath my feet.
Smelt every forest green that their was,
using my eyes I searched for me.
I never used my heart,
with my head I longed for me,
but never my soul.
