Up

Dark shadows, shallow spaces, jagged corners.
No way out. No way in, unless you're me.
Then the only way is in... to this place of endless
darkness and a lack of hope.
I'm sure I didn't choose to end up here.
But, here I am. And here I'll stay.
Maybe the walls will come caving in, exposing the light.
But this light brings me out of the dark cave,
away from the world, and up.
Maybe up is where I need to go.
Up.
Away from pain, hurt, brokenness.
Up sounds nice.
So let the walls cave in and send me up.
