Valentine’s

Spreading a special love
To someone you care for
Valentine's
The sweet smell of flowers and candy hearts
Valentine's
A box of sweet smelling chocolates
For that special someone
To make certain they don't feel like a nobody
Valentine's
A special time
For you and your special love to shine
Valentine's
February 14th
Who will you shine your love on
On this very special Valentine's Day?
Valentine's

This Poems Story

The word Valentine's can mean so much to so many people. I wrote this poem because people out there have not found love. They need to know it's still out there. Valentine's can be expressed in many ways. It can be for anyone who wants to celebrate it. Flowers can express your love for that special person in your life that makes you smile. Chocolates can tell your special someone they're filled with pure sweetness. My favorite thing is a heart symbol. That shows to your love, or anyone, that you really care for and love them. All of these things mean something to people if they receive some form of it on Valentine's. But I wanted to put all this in words, to make it mean something to those who may not receive that kind of special treatment. Valentine's means a lot to me even though no one showers me with roses. But when I wrote this poem, I realized you don't always need a second half if you have at least someone say I love you.
