Valiant

The sun hides when we leave the past behind
The clouds stay and grow darker without speech
The rays of the brilliant star only shine through
When we understand our world and refuse its bleach

My fellow brothers and sisters may doubt me
They challenge my faults into a sway
My intelligence does not dwindle
It will continue to grow and prosper everyday

Never will I trudge confidently in the shadows
Or limp warily into the light
I will bludgeon the words of my oppressors
I will go with all my courage and might

I'll march for reason and love
Shield bodices from the torches of hatred
I stand between demons and angels
I'll protect the rights of which are sacred

The sun hides when we leave the past behind
The clouds stay and grow darker without speech
The rays of the brilliant star only shine through
When we understand our world and refuse its bleach
