Vanity Under The Sun

A stream with overflowing water
Would soon be empty and barren
A meadow filled with tall grasses
Would become lifeless desert one day.

A tree so green and alive
Its leaves would wither and die
Til it becomes a coal burning
With nothing left to remember.

A flower may blossom to charm
But such adorable beauty doesn't last
It would dry and die soon enough
For all is vanity under the sun.

Lonely is the word forever
For it does not exist in this world
What our eyes see in our surroundings
Has its limit, has its end.
