sitting at your feet as you untangled
an entwined bracelet out of my hair

standing in front of the broken glass door as you held
my bloody arm in a towel awaiting the ambulance

cracking open my frozen body to break up your fight
once I heard a cup shatter

justifying why I need the space you
do not allow me to have anymore
