Wading River

River flowing tears of years
River fading with the years, fear
No it's strong, and I belong
To love of serenity
Over rocks of song
On the bank, on the shore
Is no prank
Who could ask for more
Creek, to stream to scheme
The river
Yes quiver, shiver, deliver a drop to go
On the road
To a current flow that becomes one
Reflecting the hot sun, yes it's fun
Begun on a cool Spring day
For the river has made room for you.
In the month of June, yes river flow
Between the trees and with the breeze
Make us see the path to be
The stones, the trees, the bank, river find me
And don't hide from me
For I have blood not water
And I bleed.
Yes give me a creed.
So I wade free.
