Waiting for the Waiter

One sits in the waiting room.
The other on his yacht.
One searches for a better plan.
The other for a bigger lot.

One lays out bills for his pills.
Another profits from the ills.
One man sells his car for food.
The other checks the price of crude.

One man buys his wife a card.
Another gives his pearls .
One buys his son a pair of shoes.
One buys new cars for his girls.

One picks up his gleaming fork
as the waiter pops the cork.
