Walk In My Shoes

Maybe we are all just in denial,
Maybe we should look at ourselves every once in a while.
Before you judge me and I judge you,
It's not the easiest thing to do,
To really take a look in the mirror,
To really see you.
My eyes are a one way street,
I can see you, but I can't see me.
Every flaw, every wrong is completely visible,
I will judge you as far as I can,
Even if inside I am entirely miserable.
Something I will always try to hide,
By pointing fingers at he or she,
It takes the spotlight off of me.
My subconscious knows that I am living in denial,
This, I will not realize for quite a while.
By then it will be too late,
For I have spent my life judging others for their mistakes,
Instead of facing my own.
