Walking Away

I never started a war.
I never made you stop loving me
Until you took my breath away.
When you became obsessed with me
I simply had to walk away.
No one wants to be possessed
And no one wants to be seen undressed.
You saw my life, you saw my shame.
You became my shadow and
You called me insane.
All I ever wanted was to love
And not complain.
But you were intent on taking
And wanted me to blame.
I simply cannot remain
Because you see my skies are blue,
And this you call glory and fame
Is not my color nor will it bear my name.
