Walking the Tightrope or a Thin White Line
A Poem.....Walking the Tightrope or a Thin White Line
I have passion to the left of me.
I have adoration to the right.
And as it would be ordained of me
I just died on your arms tonight.
I dont know what will become of me
As I pursue this, the darkness of the fantasy,
The dream of the union of you to me.
I can only hope for the bloodless auspiciousness of extacy.
The rope has been tightened... unmercifully
My mind has been enlightened,
Although helplessly.
This is not the Garland of hope I had envisioned even brazenly.
So it is taut and tight.... I must get it right..for I have you, my antony.... to be with me in my dreams tonight.
Chop up the powder, be ye a mental adventurer.
Razor sharp, cutting lines on the mirrors, refractions of the reflections getting clearer, as the substance conjures.
Stargazers and galaxies come into the grasp of the sorcerer.
Nonstop rushes, rushing, the rope drawn from the dope, immanent failure, pushing me one step nearer.
I am walking on the tightrope of Love.
Any mistake, like stepping on foxglove.
The effects to the heart, by digitalis will start pulling me down to the ground from above.
Should I slip and fall, it would not forestall the death of truelove.
My dying last heartbeat...of my defeat's percussive bittersweet flight flies on the wailing song from the wings of a dove.
The thin white line of time is not mine.
Perchance I choose to walk it... submit... to this crime.... to pursue my love, it's lovely love so sublime, to walk this rope is a paradigm. I sell my soul one step at a time. To win this love whose love was never mine. I walk the rope... instead of climb.
