Wanting More

Love is like the ocean
It is so big and profound
It moves just like the rushing tides do
When they rush in and then quickly rush out
Sanding away at the shattered glass
Making the edges smooth to the touch
For the life that lives within the water
Is surely to be left untouched
Without a care and without a fear
The riptide rushes through again
Beating and pumping like the body has started again
Stirring up the waters to a fiercely undertow
Sucking the life out of what might be below
The surface may seem to be calm
Just as it always does
It's what's in the depths that keep you wanting more
As you twist and you turn
Stumble and yearn
It's in the depth and the darkness
The thrashing and the pounding
That keeps you wanting more
Even though you can't even hear a sound
You can't see a thing or feel it either
It's always there waiting
The rush in and the rush out
Is never not unfound.
