War

Find me alone on the whistling mountaintop
The wind ringing hollow in my ears

Find me alone in the snow covered plains
As the sky far above me sheds tears

Find me as the blood-red blossom will wilt
As the earth cries out in such pain

That the heavens themselves will shatter
The angel's blood falling as rain

Find me deep in the depths of hell
With sinners who burn as I do

And carry me gently within your arms
To be broken and reborn anew.

The wind is still howling, the spirit still sparks
The darkness encroaches still more

So bare your blade and loose your soul
Roar with all of your might.

For this is the war and now is the battle
To live or to die here this night.
