Warm Winter Tidings

A holiday sweater,
A thoughtful gift. . .
A jacket of leather,
What a nice clever thrift. . .

The cold crisp weather,
Notice the suttle, sudden shift. . .
Time spend together,
What a genuine uplift. . .
Leaves fallen,
Left mounds of snow drift. . .

The peaceful sound
Of a quiet night. . .
Snuggled softly,
By warm candlelight. . .
Loved ones, fireplace,
What a comforting sight. . .

Hold me close,
Just never too tight. . .
Inside warm,
Avoiding signs of frost bite. . .

Do you dare ponder,
The reason. . .
The allure, charm,
And meaning of the season. . .

For its winter,
And what does this bring. . .
Three months bitter,
Then right back to spring. . .

Time spent together,
Never apart. . .
Get ready
For a new start. . .

Holiday savings,
Watch shoppers dart. . .
Donations,
Which items to part. . .

Look!
Holiday lights glow. . .
Sparking!
Amidst the fallen snow. . .

Traffic jams,
Just go with the flow. . .
Time against the clock,
Hurry, go go go!

After the hustle,
Try to quiet down. . .
Peacefulness
In not hearing a sound. . .
Settled,
In a cute, little, town. . .
Packages,
Shipped only by ground. . .

Calm feeling
Of content. . .
Happiness,
In purchases spent. . .

Funds owed,
Paid in full what was lent. . .
Reconciled,
Harsh words which were meant. . .

Tie it up,
Sentiments wrapped in a bow. . .
Next year,
Get ready for the next show. . .
