Watching it fade

Seemingly dull,
our love, long lost
fading and drifting
away at any cost.
I try to hold on
to that sight a little longer
but it's only the haunted memories
I ponder upon even stronger.
Disguised as a nightmare
I have 'em feelings mixed
it's my shattered heart that needs repair
but only my eyes seemed to be fixed
onto your smile, slightly crooked
turning my cheeks all rosy
not a better place to dwell
than your heart, so warm and cosy.

This Poems Story

Anything could fade away, it's just the matter of time. This includes 'eternal love' as well. Distance, distrust, change and sometimes even nothing could make love disappear.
