Water

everytime i look at you, i think that you are, for me,
a body of water

one moment, you are raindrops, splashing my face
and the next, you are a tsunami,
towering over me about to crash

even when you are at your worst, it's okay,
because i will let your hurricane hands grasp my waist
and i will swim through your hurt

because beneath your white caps crashing
is but a small puddle
so i will love you, through all the raindrops
through all the tsunamis

and once the clouds in your mind part
i will bask in the sun that shines from within you.
