Wave Of Nostalgia

One by one each moment passed.
One by one a memory was made.

Waves rushed by and the memories flooded my mind.
Some made me smile.
Some sloshed into my eye.
And some sent foam and bubbles,
Up my arms...
Giving me goosebumps.

I watched as those waves rushed closer and closer,
The memories became clearer and clearer,
Passing like the moments once did.

I enjoyed those waves once.

As a child, I shrieked.

Now as I watch,
Watch my memories,
Remember the moments,
I catch a glimpse of what life used to be like
As the children play,
Through the water and about the waves,
Creating their own moments,
To watch one day,
From the bay.
