Waxing Moon

I'm scared to run to you
for fear you won't catch me
But the moon
is my only friend tonight

My intentions are honest
As the night is cold
And the moon
it cannot hold me

The sky is clear
But the sea is stormy
The road not paved through to here
My heart is true
The future uncertain
How do we move forward my dear?

Pardon my sleepy eyes
It's been 48 hours that feel like years
Since I've heard your voice
touch my ears

My heart is tired
Beating out of my chest
Without you here
to help me rest

Lights flicker
In the woods at night
Winter is coming
Dread is here

The sky is clear
But the sea is stormy
The road not paved through to here
My heart is true
But the future uncertain
How do we move forward my dear

I'm scared to touch your skin
My feelings, these feelings, are terribly strong
If you felt them like I do
You just might pick up and run

My heart would shatter
Like a kaleidoscope in sun
Reflecting like the northern lights
Waiting for the next one
Please don't run my dear

Don't run
Please don't run
I've been running toward you all my life
Don't run please don't run
oh my heart
Oh my love

The sky is a clear
But the sea is stormy
The road not paved through to here
My heart is true
But the future uncertain
How do we move forward my dear
