She walked
She smiled
But he could not be real
She would never let her eyes have a steal
She danced
She glanced
But she could not heal
She would never see this world to have appeal

He eyed
He tried
But he knew she could not deal
She would never let her feelings for him become real
He cried
He sighed
But she could not care
She would always be driven by the constant fear

She lived
She died
But she knew none of it was ever right
If only she could have given him some of her light
He lived
He loved
But she was always on his mind and in his sight
If only he would have put up the fight

But we always knew there was something there
If only our hearts could have let go of their fear
