We Are in This Together

By

A book can always be judged by its cover
But in reading you'll see things you ought to discover
One's true soul each page will uncover
We are in this together
Segregation is alive and it isn't fair
Judging political views or race with not one care
The virus and riots seem too much to bare
We are in this together
This year seems strange just being alive
With the fear and racism filling our lives
Day to day living in hopes to survive
We are in this together
We need peace and to finally stand tall
To come together as humans once and for all
United we stand, divided we will fall
We are in this together
